Fernloft Malacca (The Heritage Hostel) is located within the UNESCO World Heritage City of Malacca. Staying in our heritage hostel offers you the opportunity to experience the rich local Peranakan culture. The building was build in the late 19th century and is currently gazetted for conservation. The building structure is left largely untouched since its construction of over a hundred years ago. The architecture is based on Peranakan heritage theme where the facade is painted in pastel color of screaming nyonya green and pink. The center of the building is opened up as an air well for natural lighting and ventilation, a typical architectural feature of those historical times. There is even a traditional well that allows you tap natural ground water in the hostel!

Amidst the conservation, you will find modern amenities in our hostel that offers you a comfortable stay. Fernloft is equipped with free WIFI and internet terminals for your convenience. The rooms are air-conditioned and toilets are equipped with modern shower facilities with hot water.
